A large-scale presentation on studying abroad was held in Baku, jointly organized by Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and EDDE Global. Editor.az reports that representatives of nearly 100 leading education companies operating in Azerbaijan took part in the event.
During the seminar, EMU gave a presentation, and participants received detailed information about the university's broad scholarship opportunities, academic programs and student life. Presentations on the university's scholarship terms of up to 80 percent, the joint medicine program with Marmara University, the joint dentistry program with the University of Health Sciences, as well as on the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, dormitory conditions and city life drew particular attention.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik, the rector's coordinator of EMU, who spoke at the event, said that as the only state university in Northern Cyprus with international accreditations, EMU places special importance on deepening strategic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
“We are very proud to be on the soil of brotherly Azerbaijan. Together with EDDE Global, we held a productive seminar with the participation of more than 100 education consultants. This initiative is not limited to attracting students – it also serves to bring together shared cultural values and vision.
Our goal is to see more than 2000 Azerbaijani young people at our university in the coming years,” Çelik said.
EMU's Promotion Advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Öney, said that the university intends to grow even stronger in the region with its internationally recognized quality of education.
“Building strong partnerships in the Azerbaijani market is of strategic importance to us. Informing education consultants in detail about EMU will help give students accurate guidance. The doors of our university are always open to Azerbaijani youth,” Öney emphasized.
Miryusif Javadzadeh, director of EDDE Global, who spoke at the event, praised the cooperation established with EMU and said that such initiatives play an important role in the development of the study abroad sector in the country.
“It is a great honor for us to bring together EMU, the pride of Northern Cyprus, and Azerbaijani education companies. The university's presence in our country will make a serious contribution to students' futures. Events like this are extremely important for developing the study abroad ecosystem,” he added. It should be noted that Eastern Mediterranean University is among the top 600 universities in the world according to the prestigious ranking organizations Times Higher Education and QS World University Rankings. The university holds 27 international accreditations, which further strengthens its position in the global education space.
