Scholarships in Poland: NAWA programmes, university scholarships and conditions

Short answer: Poland's main state scholarship operator for international students is NAWA (the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange). NAWA announces master's, doctoral and Polish language preparation programmes for various countries, but each programme has a different list of eligible countries. Universities also have their own scholarships and discounts.

NAWA programmes

• Scholarship programmes for master's and PhD — some programmes are for citizens of specific countries.
• Polish language preparatory year scholarships.
• Exchange programmes for researchers.

Check NAWA's official announcements to see which programmes Azerbaijani citizens are eligible for this year.

University scholarships

• Tuition discounts for high-achieving international students.
• Rector's scholarships (usually after the first year, based on academic results).
• Special international student scholarships at some universities.

Advantages of studying in Poland
